Long awaited pictures–Minnesota 2007!!!
August 16th, 2007, Posted in Summer2007Here we are with the pictures from our Minnesota trip. We left home on July 21st and returned July 27th (to be followed with Lynn and Liz spending a week between Grandma Wilson and Aunt Marjorie). We rented a van with Marjorie and Ernie…gotta love Stow-N-Go. There was decent room for the six of us and our stuff.
We started our trip by spending a few days with Grandma and Grandpa Jerry. While we were there, we stopped by This Old Farm, which is an antique museum and Paul Bunyan Land amusement park. Mommy and Aunt Marjorie went to Paul Bunyan Land as kids. This Old Farm bought everything when the original amusement park closed a few years ago.

Here you go!!! I told you it was a lot of pictures. I was trying to post this last night, but our cable went out (lost TV, internet and phone) for several hours.
Lynn’s glasses will be in tomorrow (unless inspection does not go well). I’ll be posting pictures of her in her new glasses (maybe we will stop getting Popeye pictures out of her:) )
Long awaited pictures–Michigan 2007!!!
August 15th, 2007, Posted in Summer2007Here are pictures from Michigan. I’m separating the vacation pictures into two different posts (MN Pictures are coming next) to make it easier for me to keep track of things. I’ve spent at least 3 hours tonight getting this figured out. I’m doing these as clickable thumbnail images since there are so many pictures.
Getting a ride on Great Grandpa’s boat..
Pretty pictures…
Eye doctor results…
August 7th, 2007, Posted in Summer2007Lynn and I went to the eye doctor today. Lynn is getting glasses. They had to order some frames that fit her little face. She is farsighted. Her left eye is stronger than the right, which is why the eye wonders out. Her left eye wonders out also, but it is not as noticeable. Once she has her glasses, she’ll be going in every three months for progression checks. He’s starting her with the stronger prescription first and then weaning her down. Hopefully, she won’t need them forever. There’s a name to the condition, but I don’t remember the name. I mentioned to the doctor what the last one said about her eyes just being tired. He doesn’t understand how they could miss this. Lynn did awesome and surprised everyone on how well she behaved. Mitzi helped me pick out my new specs.
I still have not gotten to the pictures…one of these days, when things slow down.
Long time, no updates :(
August 6th, 2007, Posted in Summer2007We are sorry we’ve gone through most of the Summer with no updates. Summer is always so busy around here. Then, it’s over before we know it and wondering how summer flew by so quick.
July was spent on vacations. First it was to Michigan over July 4th to see Great Grandma and Grandpa along with Grandma Willis, aunts, uncles and cousins. Then, we left for Minnesota on the 21st with Aunt Marjorie and Uncle Ernie. We visited with Grandpa and Grandma Jerry for a few days, then went sight seeing. We visited the Charles Lindberg museum, the Largest Ball of Twine in Minnesota, Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove, and the Spam Museum. We stayed at hotels in Litchfield MN, Austin MN and LaCrosse WI. The girls are awesome travelers! There are lots of pictures, but I still have to go through them.
Lynn and Liz stayed Wisconsin last week, spending a few days with Grandma and Grandpa Wilson and a few with Marjorie and Ernie. Mom’s vacation was spent with Strep Throat and a visit to the dentist to have a tooth pulled and another one getting an emergency filling. So, nothing got done at home. We’re finally unpacked and trying to get back to a normal routine here.
The garden is active. We have tomatoes out our ears. Some corn was taken out, but most of it perished the week we were in Minnesota.
Now we get to get ready for school to start and the girls’ birthday. We’re not planning anything big this year. So far, the plan is to go to Chuck-E-Cheese on their birthday and do some cake and ice cream on September 1st. We’re planing a big shindig on their 5th birthday!
Tomorrow Lynn and Mommy have an eye doctor’s appointment. This is a different doctor than the one we took Lynn to last year. Maybe this one will not blow us off.
I’ll get pictures uploaded as soon as I can get to it.
