We voted!

November 4th, 2008, Posted in Fall 2008

Autumn and I walked up to vote this morning.  It was a beautiful day to take a walk!  Autumn even got a sticker!  Grandma had to take a picture :)

Still waiting…

October 6th, 2008, Posted in Fall 2008

I’m still waiting for that routine to start…

Michael leaves in the morning for two days in Atlanta.  I’m on-call for him tomorrow night, we also have training and I have class Tuesday night.  Then I work Wednesday, class Thursday and work Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  We’re putting on carseat checks this coming Saturday.

The girls are all doing great.  Michael went to Evalynn and Elizabeth’s open house Tuesday night.  Michael asked Evalynn’s teacher why she has drawings on the back of all her school work.  It’s because when they’re done with their work, they have to turn it over, but can draw on the back while they’re waiting for the rest of the class.  Her speech is improving.  She sees the pathologists at least once a school day and sometimes twice.  We get words to help her at home.  Elizabeth is also doing great.  Her teacher says that she loves hearing Elizabeth’s little voice.  They both had dentist appointments last week.  Mitzi had an eye doctor appointment Friday.  She has a bit of an astigmatism, but not enough to require glasses.  Mitzi loves school.

Autumn is doing well.  She just had to change formula since she had some spitting up issues.  We went up there for a bonfire and smores.  I spent my time with Autumn in the house.  I got her to smile for me.  I’ve lost my touch getting babies dressed quickly and she let me know.  I start watching her three days a week starting the 14th.  Dan is waiting to hear back from a job he interviewed for (they did call his references, so that sounds promising).  Autumn is five weeks old already!

Grandma and Grandpa Jerry were down here a week ago with Marjorie.  We got a 4th generation picture taken…I just have to find time to post it.

The weather is cooling off…next thing you’ll know, snow will be flying…sigh…I hate winter!

We had flooding a few weeks ago…we received about 9 inches of rain the weekend Ike moved through.  This year has been the worst I’ve seen flooding-wise.

I have to go…it’s 12:45 am and I have to be up at 7:00 with the girls, which will be a chore since they got to bed late.

In a routine, I hope!

Hopefully, we’ll be getting back in  a routine, since it looks like things are finally beginning to slow down some.  It has been such a busy summer.
My EMT class is beginning to get rougher.  Is it March yet?
Ashley, Lisa (Ashley’s Mom) and Autumn stopped in for a visit yesterday afternoon.  Grandpa had a blast holding and feeding her!
Autumn is already out of newborn diapers.
